Pause or stop

Kyngs Close Account

Take a 24-hour cool off, time out for weeks, self-exclude or close your Kyngs account permanently.

There are many reasons to step away from gambling for a while or for good. You might want a short break to refocus, a longer pause to reset your habits, or a permanent close because the product no longer fits your life. Whichever it is, Kyngs gives you the tools to do it quickly, without negotiation and without small print.

Closing an account at Kyngs is always free of charge. We never delay a close request to talk you out of it. Most requests are processed within twenty-four hours, with permanent self-exclusions honoured immediately the moment you confirm.

How do I close my Kyngs account?

The fastest route is through your account dashboard. Sign in, open the Responsible Gambling section and choose Close Account. Select the reason from the drop-down menu, choose between a temporary close, a self-exclusion period or a permanent close, then confirm. The system sends an email receipt and the close takes effect immediately.

If you cannot access your account for any reason, contact us through the Kyngs contact page or email closures@kyngs.co.uk from the email address registered to the account. Live chat will handle the request inside one session.

What is the difference between a cool-off and a time-out?

A cool-off is a short break, usually 24 to 72 hours, designed to interrupt an in-the-moment urge to deposit or play. The account locks for the chosen period and then automatically reopens. Cool-offs are reversible only at the end of the period, never sooner.

A time-out is longer: 7, 14, 30 or 90 days. During a time-out you cannot log in, deposit or wager. Marketing communications are paused too. At the end of the period the account reopens automatically unless you have set a longer follow-on time-out or moved to a self-exclusion.

When should I self-exclude instead?

A self-exclusion is the right call when shorter breaks are not enough and gambling is starting to cause problems in your life. The minimum self-exclusion at Kyngs is six months, with options up to five years or a permanent close. Once a self-exclusion is active it cannot be lifted before the end of the period, regardless of what you ask support.

Combine the Kyngs self-exclusion with national multi-operator schemes for broader cover, and read the responsible gambling page for the full toolkit. The get help directory lists every Irish helpline alongside international support.

What happens to my balance, bonuses and bets?

Any real money balance is yours to withdraw, even after the account is closed. If you have an open bet or pending withdrawal at the moment of closure, we still settle it on schedule and pay the winnings to your registered payment method. If you have unmet bonus wagering, the bonus and any winnings derived from it are forfeited, in line with the bonus terms you accepted at opt-in.

For step-by-step rules on bonuses and how the wagering clears, read the relevant section inside the Kyngs Terms And Conditions.

More on this topic

More on what to expect after you close, how to reopen a temporarily paused account and how multi-operator schemes complement the on-site tools.

After the close

Once your account is closed, marketing communications stop within twenty-four hours and you will no longer receive promotional emails or SMS. Operational confirmations, such as withdrawal receipts and any required regulatory notices, may still be sent. Your account data is retained for the period required by our anti-money laundering obligations, then deleted or anonymised in line with the privacy policy.

Reopening a paused account

A cool-off or time-out reopens automatically at the end of the chosen period. A self-exclusion does not reopen automatically; once the minimum exclusion period has expired you must contact support and confirm the reopen request. We may apply additional checks before letting the account go live again.

Multi-operator schemes

A Kyngs self-exclusion only covers Kyngs. National multi-operator schemes such as GAMSTOP in the UK extend the exclusion across many licensed sites in a single step. The Irish multi-operator scheme operated under the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland will perform a similar role once fully active.
